Jesus claims to be the light of the world that leads us out of darkness into his marvellous light just as the pillar of fire led the congregation of Israel in the wilderness. As we navigate through this sin-marred, broken world, Jesus calls us to follow him into the light and find true hope, joy, peace, and meaning in him—the light of the world who is the source of truth, righteousness, wisdom, and life.
