Passage: John 14:1-14
In the early church, Christianity was often dubbed, "the Way," which came to refer to the way of the Lord Jesus Christ. What does that way look like? What does it mean when we hear words like, "Jesus is the only way"? Sometimes, people are put off by the claims of exclusivity of Jesus' way, but Jesus being the way and the truth and the life is such a gift when we truly understand what it means. Jesus was the only one who could become the way to open the door for us to walk as citizens of God's kingdom. He is the way maker that makes a way even when we don't see a way forward. Without him, we couldn't become a part of God's royal family, but through him and through him alone, we are God's children and heirs who will do greater works than we could imagine.
