Passage: John 13:21-30

In this text, we examine Judas Iscariot's betrayal of Jesus, and the author's use of character foil between Judas and John, the beloved disciple, to call us to loyalty, faithfulness, and allegiance to our Lord Jesus. How can we remain faithful to Jesus as we navigate through life? As we examine the lives of Jesus followers in the bible, we can see that learning the art of genuine gratitude is the key to faithfulness. Taking a posture of gratitude rather than bitterness will help us to stay loyal to Jesus. We pray that God's word and Spirit will mould our hearts into a grateful heart.
