In Hebrews 8:1-13, we are presented with another reason why Jesus is our better high priest. The author of Hebrews begins to unpack another key theme for us: that Jesus mediates a better covenant, built on better promises. This section of text offers us an opportunity to reflect on the nature of this better covenant mediated by Jesus while also inviting us to consider the full weight of what it means that God has forgiven us completely of our sins.
