Passage: Hebrews 6:13-20
Have you ever broken a promise? Has someone broken a promise with you? We don't like broken promises so we try everything in our power to make sure a promise is unbreakable.
However, no matter how unbreakable a promise may seem, day in and day out, they are broken. We live in a broken world, filled with broken promises. We see the evidence of this in our daily lives from failed political promises to issues in our close relationships, which can leave us in situations of stress, anxiety, and suffering. Over time, we can become jaded and untrusting.
But there is hope! God is different. In Hebrews 6: 13-20, the author of Hebrews wants to encourage us that when God makes a promise, it’s unbreakable and, in light of this reality, we are to hold fast to the hope we have in Christ!
