Hebrews claims that Jesus is not ashamed to call us his brothers and that he considers it an honourable thing to suffer for the sake of his brothers. As we examine the prodigal son parable in Luke 15, we can see that Jesus is the better brother who loves us and suffers loss so that he could pay the cost for our redemption. He is the better priest, the king, the better brother. He is our Lord!
