Passage: Hebrews 4:1-13
Unfortunately, the live stream had a server outage and this sermon video cuts off just before the 39 minute mark, before the end of the sermon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
This past Sunday, we were reminded of the rest that God promises to those who put their faith in him. We heard the refreshing words of Jesus who said, "Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” This rest is so much more than a mere physical pause from the frenetic and chaotic lives we live. Jesus offers rest for our souls. The writer of Hebrews is passionate that people not miss out on God's rest, like those in previous generations who failed to believe. Instead, we are to strive to enter it through faith in Jesus. He is the better rest.
