In this premiere of the new sermon series in the Book of Nehemiah, we explore the historical context of Nehemiah and the Jewish community in the Persian Empire. When facing tremendous challenges, to where does Nehemiah turn? He turns to the God of heaven and prays. We will learn much about prayer through the rest of this book, but for now, we can start with an emphasis on prayer and turning to God by prioritizing him in our lives.
