Passage: Luke 2:1-20
Advent is about looking back in awe and wonder while anticipating and awaiting. It’s a season that helps us remember and be thankful for God's loving pursuit of us, that he is God with us through the joys and struggles of our lives, that he is with us in our suffering, all the while we await his second coming when Jesus will make all things new.
Luke 2:1-20 brings us to the moment in history when "the Word became flesh" to contend and battle for us against sin, death, and the darkness of this world. Light entering in. God with us, paving the way for us to have freedom from sin and death, a personal relationship with God, and an eternal hope for something so much better.
How will you respond to Jesus, the humble and mighty king on this manger throne?
