What a Summer!

24Aug, 2023

What a summer we've had with SDBC Kids! Our summer started off with the Kids Sunday and carnival in June, which was our best turnout at a carnival yet! We then had a fun and relaxing day at the beach with the families at our church before starting all of our camps for the summer.

This summer, we saw many kids from the community come to our different camps and learn about Jesus and all the ways he is involved in our lives. At Wild Life, kids got a one-day VBS experience where they learned about some of the most unique and wild animals that God created, including us humans! Then it was right into Baking Camp where kids spent the morning baking delicious treats that are just as unique as they are. Finally, we had Science Camp last week and did crazy experiments like making elephant toothpaste and slime! We used these experiments to explore God's world and all that he has created. Through our camps, we have seen kids exploring who God is and how he's created them, and getting closer to him in the process. It is always incredible to see how much kids learn in such a short amount of time, and I can't wait to see many of them back for our events next summer.

Our last event is tonight, August 24th, from 5-7PM. We'll be hanging out at Memorial Park in Ladner for our Family Picnic! Bring your picnic and blanket and we'll see you tonight to round out our summer of fun!
