Serving Our Community

We are so grateful to our community of Delta for how they have supported our two outreach programs: Starfish Pack South Delta and SDBC Tutoring.

We recently received a grant of $5000 for SDBC Tutoring from the Delta Community Foundation! This grant will allow us to take more students into our program; students who would not otherwise be able to afford this type of tutoring. We are so thankful for this contribution and for the support of community organizations like the Delta Community Foundation.

We also received $300 for Starfish Pack South Delta from the Delta Kindness Meter program! This contribution was also made possible by the Delta Community Foundation. Here is what Gail Martin, the president of the Delta Community Foundation, says about the contribution:

"The Delta Community Foundation is pleased to give this grant to the Starfish Program. Food security for our youngest citizens is extremely important to the Delta Community Foundation. We encourage all citizens of Delta to continue to support the Kindness Meter Program and deposit their loose change at the five locations throughout the City of Delta so that initiatives like this can continue."

It is exciting and encouraging to know that these programs have the love and support of our community at large, and we look forward to continuing to serve our community in tangible ways through Starfish Pack South Delta and SDBC Tutoring!
