SDBC Kids needs your help as we are gearing up for another fun-filled summer! With a record number of children attending programs each Sunday, we are anticipating more kids than ever for our summer programs and events. We're calling on you, our faithful church family, to partner with us in serving the families of SDBC and beyond with our summer events.
The past few summers, we have had waitlists for each of the camps we offer. These waitlists included some of our own church family kids but also many community kids. We would love to see God moving and the Word being taught to kids from all over our community this summer through our camps. The only reason to cap the number of children we can accommodate in each camp is the number of volunteers we get to help us run them. Last year, we had at least 10 families left on the waitlist for each camp, and we would love to get that number down to zero!
The past few years we have moved from a large, multi-day VBS to a one-day camp format and offered three different camps: Baking, Science, and Bible Camp, with the hopes to engage a wider range of kids and families from all over Delta. Each of these camps includes fun games, activities, and teaching times to instil the Word of God into the kids who attend. We've seen such a great response, including families joining our church after these camps, and we can't wait to see how God will move this summer.
