One of the ministries that operates on a weekly basis at the church is our Starfish Pack South Delta program. Those who serve on this team load up backpacks with groceries each week for over 60 students in South Delta. This provides meals for the weekend to families who are struggling with the high cost of living. We also have a team of volunteers who pick up the empty backpacks from the schools each week, so they can be used again and again.
Some of these backpacks are beginning to wear out and sometimes, they don't make it back to us. If you are looking for a tangible, simple way to support this program, please consider donating backpacks to our Starfish Pack program. We are looking for new or lightly used backpacks that can be used to transport groceries to families in our community.
