Stepping into Fall: Engage, Serve, and Grow at SDBC

05Sep, 2024

We are excited about our fall ministry kickoff as summer begins to fade away. This upcoming season is more than just a time to launch our ministries and initiatives—it's an opportunity for each of us to grow deeper in our walk with Jesus and step into radical hospitality and meaningful connections within our church family.

This fall, get involved! Whether through serving in our youth or kids ministries, helping serve on one of our many teams on a Sunday morning, joining a community group, or participating in a bible study, there's a place for everyone to contribute and grow. Wherever God is nudging you to get involved, it's a chance to invest in the lives of others, making a lasting impact for God's kingdom.

As we prepare for this season of renewal and growth, please pray. We believe that God will work in powerful ways, transforming hearts and lives. Fall isn't just about the change in weather; it's about deepening our commitment to God and one another. Let's embrace this season with enthusiasm and a readiness to serve. Together, we can foster meaningful connections, support one another in our faith journeys, and extend God's radical hospitality to all who walk through our doors.

Matthew 9:35-38 reminds us of the harvest that is ready and waiting:

"And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.'"

Please join us in praying for this season of ministry and consider how you can be a part of it. For more information on how to get involved in our various ministries, please click the button below.
