This coming Sunday, we have the privilege of hosting Darin Phillips as our guest speaker. Darin and his amazing wife, Lori, and their two girls, Calista and Maleah, live in Ladysmith where Darin has just finished up a long tenure serving as pastor at Oceanview Church. Over the many years Darin has ministered in Ladysmith, the church has witnessed God do some incredible things in their town. Darin and Lori's passion for actively serving others in very tangible ways became one of the avenues the church began to love their community. It has been amazing to see how Jesus has transformed so many lives through Oceanview Church as they chose to obey the greatest commandment: loving God and loving their neighbours.
An interesting sidenote: Darin is also an incredible friend and brother. He and I met in college and became roommates. We were each other's best man in our weddings. We have shared so many incredible memories together, all the highs and lows of life, and we continue to be the best of friends today. I can't say enough about how God has used Darin to shape who I am. I know you will be blessed and encouraged as God uses Darin to speak to our church family this weekend.
