What an amazing Sunday we just had! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our special SDBC Family Christmas Celebration on Sunday. We really loved seeing families sitting together and enjoying the service. While we were rehearsing for the kids' choir, I noticed how excited the kids were to sing for everyone, and wow they did not disappoint! If you were sitting near the front few rows, you may have noticed the kids singing loud during the first couple songs of the service, warming up their little voices while praising the Lord; it was an incredible thing to hear. Then came the performance and parents, if you're reading this, please let your kids know how incredible they did during the performance. They sang their hearts out shouting joy and praising God in front of the church. If you want to relive the incredible experience, our livestream of the service is up on YouTube. I recommend you give it another listen, because the kids come out loud and clear!
The gingerbread competition was just as fun! We had almost 40 groups of families and friends building houses. There were so many smiling faces and incredible creations made. I loved seeing the faces of all the kids (and most of the adults) as they built and decorated their houses. There were so many amazing memories made. The atmosphere in the gym as many people enjoyed their lunches, the delicious filled pancakes made by our Korean community, and spending time with family and friends was incredible. It really felt like the Christmas season with the "snow" falling outside, and people enjoying fellowship with some healthy competition and a delicious meal. We hope you had as much fun as we did and thank you so much to everyone who was a part of this Sunday. We can't wait to worship with you on Christmas Eve!
