Our church is planning a trip to Israel and Jordan from March 18th to April 2nd in 2024. In partnership with Pastor Kamal from Richmond Baptist Church, Pastor Paul and Mary from our church are co-leading this trip. This tour explores the biblical sites in two of the region's most fascinating countries: Israel and Jordan. We will begin in Tel Aviv on our way to discover the cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon to Beersheba. Then, we will continue to Masada and the Dead Sea and also head toward the City of Jerusalem and walk the Stations of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa, where we can take time to reflect on the Lord's sacrifice for all of us, and what an incredible moment it will be when we stand on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem where Jesus ascended into heaven! Later, we will visit Nazareth and Capernaum before returning south along the Jordan River to Jerusalem. We will also travel north through Caesarea and Megiddo to the plains of Galilee and then continue into Jordan, where we will see the ancient Roman city of Jerash and the incredible UNESCO Heritage site of Petra. The journey ends in Israel via Mount Nebo, admiring the stunning panoramic view of the Holy Land.
In preparation for the trip, participants will be invited to attend a few training sessions with biblical scholars so that we are well equipped to fully appreciate the trip when we are at the biblical sites.
The desired outcome for this trip is as follows:
- to deepen our appreciation for God's word as we travel in areas where biblical events took place. We will have an opportunity to tangibly interact with the locale of several biblical events where Moses, the twelve disciples, and Jesus himself walked.

to practice our church goal of "Radical Hospitality & Meaningful Connections." This trip will be an incredible opportunity for us to build community and meaningfully connect with one another.
