About the Event
We're thrilled to invite you to our 4th Annual Gingerbread House Competition following the service on December 15th! This annual event is dedicated not just to creative competition but to the joy of fellowship as we come together to celebrate the season. Even if you don't participate, plan on sticking around after the service to cheer on teams, grab some food, and connect.
If you want to participate in the gingerbread competition, here's what you need to know:
Categories to Enter: (you do not need to select a category, all houses will be judged in each category, except for the kids category, which is on its own)
- Best House Overall – Showcase your skills for the ultimate gingerbread masterpiece.
- Most Unique – Think outside the box and show off your creativity!
- Most Traditional – Classic, charming, and all things cozy.
- Best Kids House – Open to our youngest creators, under 12 years old.
Rules:
- All exterior decorations ;must be edible, though a non-edible base is allowed.
- Each house must be assembled and decorated on Sunday morning after the service.
- All group members must participate – this is a team effort!
- If your group has more than eight people, consider reserving two gingerbread houses to give everyone a chance to join in.
Everyone is welcome—even if you're not competing, come enjoy the friendly holiday atmosphere. With laughter, creativity, and a shared meal, we'll soak up the true spirit of Christmas.
