About the Event
Christmas is a special time for Christ followers as we celebrate the coming of the Son in meaningful ways. Our priority is to worship Jesus and express our praise and gratitude for the gift of Jesus Christ through formal worship services, generous gifts, and faithful service to God's kingdom work.
This year, as we reflect on the Manger Throne as our Christmas theme, we recognize that King Jesus, in his royal majesty, made room for us at his royal table even though we did not make room for him when he came to us on that first Christmas day. This humble and majestic king is a king who invites those who do not have a place to belong to join him at his great feast.
As an extension of God's invitation of us, we are hosting a lunch on Christmas day for those of us who do not have a place to be that day. In our culture, Christmas is a time where many people spend time with their family, but some of us don't have plans on Christmas day for various reasons, and the loneliness we experience could be accentuated during holidays like these. We don't want you to spend Christmas alone this year. We're inviting you to be with your church family on Christmas day if you're not planning to be elsewhere.
On December 25th, we will be hosting lunch at 11:30AM in the Chapel of our church. We're calling this Christmas day lunch, "The Christmas Table." If you're planning on being there, please click the button below to RSVP prior to December 18th so that we know how many to cook for. The meal is completely free; just come and enjoy being with your church family. We look forward to seeing you there!
